Batch Size: In the second cluster held Friday, Tata Administrative Services (TAS) made the highest number of domestic offers, while Emaar topped the international category. According to an official press from IIMA, consumer goods and durable firms extended the highest number of offers, closely followed by conglomerates. The second cluster mainly comprised six cohorts, namely advertising and media, conglomerates, consumer goods and durables, consumer services, pharma and healthcare, and retail B2B (business-to-business) and B2C (business-to-consumer). The third cluster is scheduled to be conducted on February 14, according to IIM-A.

Placements: The consumer goods and durables, and consumer services cohorts saw regular recruiters such as Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Nestle, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt, The Coca-Cola Company and Wipro Consumer Care. The conglomerate cohort included recruiters such as Adani Group, Aditya Birla Group, CK Birla Group, Emaar and Tata Administrative Services. Amazon, Disney-Star, Myntra, Nykaa, PharmEasy, and Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, were among the other firms.

Batch Size: 399 (Batch of 2018-20 for PGP and FABM together)

Batch Composition: The batch of 2016-18 comprised 79% Engineering graduates and 21% coming from other streams. There were 34% of students from the IITs, 17% from BIT and NITs, and 28% from other engineering colleges of the country. One-third of the batch of 2016-18 were fresh graduates and 25% of students had work experience of 0-1 years. 25% of students had 1-2-years and 16% had more than 2 years of work experience. Among the students with work experience, 36% were from Engineering, 21% from IT/ITES, and 12% from the BFSI sector.

Placements: During placements for batch 2016-18, 125 recruiters visited the campus, and 150 different role profiles were offered to the students.

Admission Process: IIM Ahmedabad usually follows a two-step selection process. First, shortlisting based on CAT score and then AWT – Academic Writing Test and PI rounds for the shortlisted students. Candidates who fulfill the first stage of the admission criteria (CAT) are called for AWT and PI rounds. However, factors like academic cut-offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, gender diversity, etc. also play a major role in the final selection.

They have released new selection criteria for the batch of 2022 – 2024. Following are the criteria that need to be considered:
