The philosophy of the management education at the University Business School is built on an integrative value system. It is motivated by duty bound work ethics, human approach and scientific temper. The philosophy of the school is translated into a mission of creating wholesome personality of human beings with a view to produce effective managers, researchers and teachers. Modern attitude, practical wisdom, knowledge and skill relevant for management are deeply ingrained in the students.

Batch Size: 64 (Also MBA HR – 30, MBA IB – 30)

Batch Composition: For the batch of 2017-19, approximately 75% of the batch are male students. The average age of the entire batch is 23 years. Around 70% of the students of the batch are fresh graduates while 105 have work experience of more than two years. More than half of the batch are from Engineering background.

Placement:  During final placements of 2016-18, 45 companies visited the campus and the batch received a total of 118 offers. The highest salary offered was Rs 46 Lakhs and the average salary was Rs 9 Lakhs. Top 10% of the students received an average of Rs 21 Lakhs and the top 50% received an average of Rs 10.9 Lakhs salary. 38% of the job offers were from BFSI industry, followed by 13% from consulting, 12% each from IT and FMCG. Some of the prominent recruiters were – Airtel, SBI Life, Trident, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, EY, KPMG, Tolaram Group, Mahindra, HDFC among others.

Admission Process: Students entering UBS Chandigarh are selected through a rigorous process, comprising of the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT)/ GD and Personal Interview.
