The PGDM program at TAPMI is a full-time residential program with an admittance of 420 students per batch. The course attracts students from diverse backgrounds from across the country. TAPMI students come from different academic backgrounds like engineering, commerce, arts, science, law, pharmacy, hospitality, medicine and para-medical disciplines, as also, Chartered/Cost Accountants or Company Secretaries.

Batch Composition: For the batch 2015-17, the overall ratio of female students to male students were approximately 2:1. 40% of the batch had work experience of 0-11 months while approximately 50% of the batch had an experience of 12-35 months. Out of the entire batch, nearly half had interest in marketing and nearly 30% were interested in Finance.

Placements: For the batch 2016-18, 143 companies came for placements and they recruited a total of 454 students. Out of 56 pre – placement offers, 53 offers were accepted by the students. The highest PPO salary offered for this batch was Rs 19.4 lacs with an average of Rs 12 lacs. Overall batch saw an increase in average salary from Rs 10.1 lacs for the batch of 2015-17 to Rs 10.6 lacs for the current batch. The highest package for PGDM(General) was Rs 23.8 lacs while the same for PGDM(BKFS) and PGDM(Healthcare) was Rs 14.3 lacs and Rs 15.5 lacs respectively. Students opting for FMCG and Retail companies got the highest average package of Rs 12.7 lacs and it was followed by IT and Ecommerce at Rs 11.3 lacs. 42% of the batch got placed in the BFSI sector and 35% students in the IT and E commerce. Some top recruiters were – EY, Godrej, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Accenture, ITC, Mindtree, Ford, IBMVirtusa among others.

Admission Process: TAPMI adopts a two-stage process for admitting candidates to its PGDM programs. Valid CAT/XAT/GMAT scores are mandatory prerequisites to qualify for the admission process consisting of WAT and Personal Interviews or other evaluation components the Institute deems fit. To qualify for the admission process, it’s imperative to get high scores in CAT/XAT/GMAT. Students with academic excellence and relevant work experience, are shortlisted and invited to participate in the subsequent TAPMI Admissions Process.
