The Post Graduate Programme in Management is a two-year, full time residential programme. The first-year coursework is spread over three terms. It comprises core courses that explain the fundamentals concepts of management across the different functional areas. The second-year coursework is spread over the next three terms (Term IV to Term VI). The second-year students are offered elective courses across different functional areas such as marketing, finance, and economics.

Batch Size: 66 (Batch 2017-19)

Batch Composition: The batch 2017-19 has 66 students and the male female ratio of 77:23. Altogether 68% of the students have prior work experience and the average work experience of the entire batch is 24 months. 76% of the entire batch had engineering background and 11% were from commerce. One third of the batch were fresh graduates and 53% of the batch had work experience of more than two years.

Placement: The batch 2016-18 placement saw more than 45 companies participating in the process. The highest domestic CTC offered was Rs 32 Lakhs and the highest International CTC offered was Rs 53 Lakhs. The average CTC of the entire batch stood at Rs 12 Lakhs. The average CTC of the top 10 Percentile students was Rs 30.75 Lakhs and that of the top 50% was Rs 17.16 Lakhs. 57% of the batch got Marketing roles while Finance and Business Analyst roles were second with 11% each. Some of the top companies who visited the campus for placement were – EY, GMR, Havells, HDFC Life, RIL, Zomato, DTDC, Schindler among others.

Admission Process: Students entering IIM Sirmaur are selected through a rigorous process, comprising of the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview.
