The Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management at IIM Sambalpur is a two-year, full-time, residential program. The program aims to groom participants into competent professional managers. The PGP in Management is spread over two years, each year consisting of three terms. While transiting from the first to the second year, the participant spends eight weeks on a summer project in a business organization. The academic year begins in June/July and ends in March/April of the following year.

Batch Size: 60

Batch Composition: 82% of the 2016-18 batch were male. Approximately 90% of the batch had Engineering degree and only 6% were commerce graduates. About forty percent of the batch has work experience, with an average work experience of 21 months and yet the average age of the whole batch is 23 years. Among those with work experience, around 60% of them had work experience in the IT industry.

Placement: Out of the total 45 students of batch 2016-18, 3 students opted out of the placements. The remaining students were placed with an average CTC of Rs 10.55 Lakhs per annum. The highest CTC offered was Rs 60.74 Lakhs per annum. While top 25 percentile got an average CTC of Rs 16.18 Lakhs, top 50 percentile ended with an average of Rs 12.67 Lakhs.

Admission Process: Students entering IIM Sambalpur are selected through a rigorous process, comprising of the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview.
