This is the flagship program of XIMB as well as the Xavier University. The Program leads to the MBA degree of Xavier University, Bhubaneswar. While the Program is based on the standard model of management education as practiced by top ranking institutions, this Program is distinguished by its rigor and discipline. XIMB has been awarded the South Asian Quality Assurance System (SAQS) Accreditation by the Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA)

Batch Size: 360

Batch Composition: The 2017-19 batch, has 78% male students as compared to 22% female students. In this batch, 29% of the students are fresh graduates and 27% have work experience less than 2 years. A total of 29% of the students have work experience between 24 to 36 months. 86% of the students have an Engineering degree whereas only 8% students have BCOM degree.

Placements: For the batch of 2016-18, altogether 113 companies visited the campus for 361 students. The highest salary offered was Rs 23.50 Lakhs with an average of Rs 12.91 Lakhs. The median salary for the batch was Rs 12.76 Lakhs. Some of the big names that visited are – Accenture, PwC, Crisil, ICICI Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Infosys, KPMG, TATA Steel, Vedanta among others.

Admission Process: Each candidate must have taken at least one of the four exams: CAT/ XAT/GMAT/X-GMT. The Institute will decide the section-wise as well as total cut-off marks which will be used for short-listing the candidates to be called for Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in the XAT/CAT/GMAT/X-GMT as well as in the Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview (which factors in the past academic record and relevant work experience).
