The two   year   Post   Graduate   Diploma   in   Management (PGDM) is the flagship program of IMI, Delhi. It is designed to prepare the students for careers in industry, across functional areas. The program equips students with strong conceptual skills to manage businesses in an integrated manner. IMI follows a trimester system and each program consists of six trimesters. Each trimester is of 11-12 weeks duration. The academic calendar begins early July. Apart from the six trimesters students are required to undergo a compulsory Summer Internship Program (SIP) at the end of the first year.

Batch Composition: The batch of 2017 – 19 has 40% female candidates, which is higher than that of the batch 2016-18 in which the numbers were 34% only. The number of Fresher candidates also saw a huge growth from 43% of previous batch to 58% in the batch of 2017-19. The number of Engineering graduates in a batch also went down from 66% in the batch of 2016-18 to 59% in the batch of 2017-19.

Placements: For the summer internship of batch 2017-19, more than 80 companies visited the campus and the highest stipend offered is Rs 2 lacs with an average of Rs 72000. For the final placements of the batch of 2016-18, 88 companies visited the campus and the highest salary offered is Rs 20.75 lacs and an average salary of Rs 12.23 lacs. The highest CTC went up by 32%. 21% percent of the recruiters in the final placement process this year, visited the college for the first time.  In the batch of 2016-18, 40 students got pre – placement offers (PPO) from different companies which is approximately 100% more than the previous batch. Admission Process: Candidates who have appeared for the CAT examination or furnished valid GMAT score and have applied to IMI, Delhi will be shortlisted based on information provided in the application form, CAT scores or GMAT score, educational background, marks in 10th, 12th, graduation and work experience, if any. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process.
