The PGP extends over a period of two years, involving six trimesters with a summer internship at a prestigious organization. The program is carefully designed keeping in view the changing needs of the global business scenario. In the second year, students choose from a range of electives to concentrate on functional areas of their interest. The areas offered at present are Finance, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Strategy and General Management. A lot of emphasis during the PGP has been laid on industry based and research projects. The students, over the period of years are expected to conduct research on various aspects of management and subject it to the scrutiny and evaluation of the faculty. This is aimed at increasing the levels of comprehension the students possess in the respective topics.

Batch Size: 201 (Batch 2016-18)

Batch Composition: The Class of 2016 – 18 comprised of 201 students. The batch gender ratio was 32% female students to 68% male students. There was a significant number of perspicacious fresher students at 48% of the batch size and the average work experience for the batch was 24 months. 74% of the batch had engineering degree and 9% had a commerce degree.

Placements: For the batch of 2016-18, 150 companies visited the campus and out of them more than 65 companies visited for the first time. Despite the increase in batch size by 44%, the domestic average and median stood at INR 12,45,359 and INR 12,15,200 respectively. The highest Domestic package offered was INR 22,05,000. Admission Process: Students entering IIM Raipur are selected through a rigorous process, comprising of the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview.
