Pedagogy at SIBM Pune is a mix of many methodologies. Apart from the usual chalk-n-talk, there is a conscious effort to make the sessions interactive by using case studies and references of latest developments in the relevant field. In addition, students are encouraged to undertake multiple projects to hone their research and analytical skills. Latest tools and techniques like Business Simulations are used wherever possible. Ample amount of guest lectures is organized by inviting leading corporate executives, especially from the alumni pool. In fact, SIBM Pune has consistently received Awards for excellent industry interaction. Students are also encouraged to write success stories of illustrious alumni, which the college publishes in the form of books. Field visits are also a regular feature.

Batch Size: 180 (For MBA)

Batch Composition: The batch of 2016-18 comprised of 69% male students and 31% female students. 61% of the batch were Engineers, while 14% and 13% were having Management and Commerce degrees. The entire batch had 42% fresh graduates and exactly half of the batch had work experience of up to 24 months.

Placements: A total of 191 offers were made to the students of the batch 2016-18 by 85 participating companies in the placement process. Among them there were 48 new recruiters. There were altogether 63 Pre-Placement Offers (PPO). The highest compensation offered was Rs 28 Lakhs. The average CTC for the whole batch stood at Rs 16.23 Lakhs. The average CTC for the top 50 was Rs 23.05 Lakhs and that of the top 100 was Rs 20.07 Lakhs.A snapshot of the sector wise recruiters are as follows:

Admission Process: Each student desirous of admission to SIBM Pune must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, which is a common written test for the admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes. Short-listed Applicants based on SNAP scores will be called for the selection process at SIBM, Pune. This process includes Group Exercise, Personal Interview & Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).
