The two-year full-time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) is the flagship program of IIM Trichy.  Its main objective is to develop young women and men into competent professional managers, capable of working in any sector of organized activity, proceeding leadership and achieving excellence in performance while contributing to the welfare of the larger society. The first year of the program offers courses covering various disciplines exposing the students to different facets of business management. On completion of these core courses, the program provides the option of choosing electives from a pool of specialized courses during the second year. The elective courses are designed to nurture future managers in their interests, aligning them with their career goals and objectives.

Batch Size: 180

Batch Composition: The 2017-19 batch has a total strength of 176 students. Out of them there are only 25 female students. 91% of the students are from engineering background while only 4% are from commerce. 27% students have work experience of 0-11 months and 54% of the batch has experience of 24 – 47 months.

Placements: During the placements of 2016-18 batch, the highest Domestic CTC offered was Rs 31.70 Lakhs while the same for International was Rs 54.5 lakhs. The average CTC of the batch was Rs 14.28 Lakhs and the average of the top 10% students was Rs 29.42 Lakhs. IT companies were the major recruiters with 24% offers with BFSI and Consulting companies were second with 17% each. 30% of the students received Sales and Marketing roles and 31% received Consulting profiles.

Admission Process: Students entering IIM Trichy are selected through a rigorous process, comprising of the Common Admission Test (CAT), one of the most competitive entrance examinations in the country, followed by a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview.
