A judicious mix of different teaching methods evolved using feedback from students and other program participants are employed at the institute. The emphasis is on learning processes and learning outcomes for the enhancement of managerial competencies. In the second year, the students select subjects in their area of interest and have an option of dual specialization. Electives are offered in various verticals. Multidisciplinary courses offering state of the art analysis such as ‘Enterprise Resource Planning’ and ‘Business Process Re-engineering’ are also available for the taking. Typically, choices are made from at least two streams to major in two areas, thus obtaining a ‘dual’ specialization.

Batch Size: Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode witnessed 100% placements 2022 for the large batch of 571 students participating in the placements process.

Placements: The offers were rolled out by 116 recruiters including 39 new companies. Entire Placement process was concluded in three days. The average salary secured by the students stood at INR 29.5 LPA, an increase of 31.3% over last year, while the median salary secured is INR 26.50 LPA, an increase of 32.5% over last year. Out of the 546 students placed, 40 students each are from the PGP- F and PGP- LSM courses.

Batch Size: 423

Batch Composition: The PGP batch of 2018-20 consists of over 87% students from Engineering background. There are 26% female students in the batch. 76% of the batch is fresh graduates and 24% of the batch has work experience. The average work experience of the batch was 25 months.

Placements: The PGP batch of 2016-18 average CTC saw an increase from 17.65 LPA in 2017 to 17.8 LPA in 2018. Also, the average salary offered to the top 50% of the batch maintained its upward trend increasing from 20.1 LPA in 2017 to 21.0 LPA in 2018. The number of firms participating in the placements process in 2018 increased by more than 50% as compared to last year. Notably, 59 companies which participated were Fortune 500. Admission Process: There are 2 stages that a candidate goes through before getting selected for IIM-Kozhikode PGDM Program. The first stage is appearing for the CAT Exam conducted by the IIMs (GMAT for the international candidates). On clearing the required cut-offs and the composite score, a candidate is called for the GD/WAT and PI. The candidate must write a short essay and participate in a group discussion on a topic provided by IIM-K. The topic is announced at the venue just before the GD/WAT.
